BOOST is a National Institute for Health Research, Research for Patient Benefit funded study for people with advanced liver cirrhosis, sponsored by University Hospital ²ÝùÊÓƵ NHS Trust and managed by the ²ÝùÊÓƵ's Peninsula Clinical Trials Unit .
This project aims to address the lack of treatment options for people with liver cirrhosis by testing whether the dietary supplement beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate (HMB) improves their physical function and quality of life.
